Jovena Gaymon is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of CDJ Consulting, LLC, where she brings over a decade of experience in higher education leadership, organizational development, and strategic operations. A dynamic consultant and community counselor, Jovena specializes in helping institutions and professionals enhance administrative efficiency, leadership capacity, and long-term growth.

With a strong academic foundation holding a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the College of Charleston and an MBA with a concentration in Management from Argosy University (graduating with honors)—Jovena has also completed doctoral-level coursework in Business Administration, equipping her with deep expertise in organizational leadership and strategic planning.

Jovena has held progressive leadership roles at prominent academic institutions, including the College of Charleston, The Art Institute of Charleston, and Southern Wesleyan University. She currently serves as Program Manager and Coordinator for the Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy programs at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), where she continues to support students and professionals in achieving success through education and empowerment.

At CDJ Consulting, Jovena leads initiatives focused on administrative operations, decision-making strategy, leadership development, and organizational training. She also offers hands-on guidance for aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners, assisting with business startup processes, including securing business licenses and ensuring operational compliance. Her dual background in academia and business enables her to connect with clients across sectors, offering practical, research-informed solutions that drive measurable impact. Jovena’s leadership extends beyond the classroom and boardroom. In addition to her professional and entrepreneurial pursuits, Jovena previously served as former President of L.E.A.R.N. (Lowcountry Educational Admissions Representatives Network), a nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to higher education through employer-supported education and wellness programs. Her excellence in business and education was recognized with her 2012 induction into Sigma Beta Delta, the International Business Honor Society.

Jovena is married to Leander Gaymon, and together they are the proud parents of their daughter, Gabrielle Gaymon. Whether through her work at CDJ Consulting, in academia, or in the community, Jovena remains a passionate advocate for lifelong learning, empowerment, and purposeful growth.

Dr. Palmer – Roberts is a seasoned executive, strategist, and public servant with over 25 years of experience leading innovation and driving performance across government, nonprofit, and private sectors. As the CEO and Co-Managing Partner of CDJ Consulting, LLC, she provides high-impact consulting services in organizational leadership, human resources, compliance, and strategic planning.

A dynamic and visionary leader, Dr. Roberts is known for her ability to manage complex operations and implement forward-thinking strategies that foster growth, accountability, and organizational excellence. She has successfully supported clients through periods of transformation by designing sustainable solutions in areas such as HR compliance, diversity & inclusion, litigation support, and performance management.

Dr. Roberts currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Physicians Footcare, a multi state medical practice where she oversees more than 100 employees across South Carolina, Georgia, and New York. In addition, she serves as a Councilwoman for the City of North Charleston, representing District 4 and advocating for smart, equitable development and inclusive governance.

A proud first-generation college graduate and doctoral degree holder in Organizational Leadership, Dr. Roberts combines academic insight with real-world expertise. Her background includes senior leadership roles in the public and private sectors, including at Force Protection Industries, BOOST LLC, and Royal Missionary Baptist Church.

She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, National League of Cities, South Carolina Municipal Association, International Society Honor Society in Education (Kappa Delta Pi) National Society of Leadership and Success (Sigma Alpha Pi), and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Dr. Roberts is also a devoted mother of three, Cameron, Kaitlyn and Courtney; and a proud fur-mom to her miniature Schnauzer, Boots Alexander. Her life’s work is driven by her passion for service, justice, and helping organization —and individuals—thrive.

Dr. Deilsa Brown is a licensed counseling psychologist and behavioral health consultant with over a decade of experience helping individuals and organizations build resilience, foster inclusive leadership, and promote mental well-being. She is the Founder and Managing Partner of CDJ Consulting, LLC, where she leads strategic initiatives at the intersection of behavioral health, equity, and organizational development.

Dr. Brown earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Howard University and currently
serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the
Medical University of South Carolina. Her work focuses on addressing racial trauma, substance use disorders, and mental health disparities through culturally responsive, evidence-based practices. She has led workshops and trainings for corporations, nonprofits, and educational institutions on topics such as burnout prevention, leadership development, workplace wellness, and identity based stress.

A respected community advocate, Dr. Brown regularly partners with faith-based and youth-
centered organizations to promote mental health education, including her work with the Royal
Missionary Baptist Church’s “In My Feelings” Youth Mental Health Workshop and the
Charleston Youth Summit. She also collaborates with community-based agencies to support
empowerment initiatives for economically disadvantaged youth and underserved populations.
Dr. Brown brings a unique, whole-person perspective to consulting, grounded in behavioral
science and driven by a belief in re-humanizing the workplace. Her leadership helps
organizations transition beyond mechanistic systems to more inclusive, compassionate, and
performance-driven environments.
